This detailing of a group of girls (and grown women) beating a 13 year old girl named Nicole because of an innocent kiss between Nicole and the "boyfriend" of the birthday girl's on the cheek during a birthday party disturbs me incredibly.
The young girl who was "cheated on" by the "boyfriend" and Nicole was encouraged by her own mother to beat her up, at which point, the mother (36), older sister (19), and 3 other friends of the birthday girl (ages 13, 14, and 15) beat Nicole so badly that she went into a coma and recieved irreversible brain injuries.
The article continues to discuss the growing problem of violence in young girls in the school and the home.
